Personality: Patch is a very intelligent, serious and strategic young lady. She is always considering what the long term goals and plans are as well as the possible outcomes. She is a very business-like and hard-working individual who takes her work seriously. She is also ambitious and willing to do what it takes to get ahead in her career.
However, she is also a very caring and warm-hearted person. A quiet and thoughtful person, she is always willing to take time out of her day to listen or help out a friend. She also has a good sense of humour that sometimes takes people by surprise. She is also a very physically active and likes being outdoors. She is very athletic and her favorite forms of exercise are running, hiking and dancing.
History: Patch grew up with as one of the youngest children in the Adams family. Her parents, Mary and Nickolas Adams owned a bakery and berry farm in the Burrows. As the youngest of several sisters and brothers, it was sometimes hard to get a word in edgewise. As such, Patch grew up a quiet and studious child who was more interested in books and school than the bakery and farm work. When asked to help with the bakery or caring for the farm, Patch was always ready and willing to work and always got the work done in an efficient manner. However, her parents could tell that Patch was not going to grow up to be a farmer and it seemed unlikely that she would remain in the Burrows once she was older.
As a child, she always seemed far away, locked in her own head and the worlds of the books she read. She rarely read fantasy but preferred to read the classics, mysteries, real-life fiction and biographies of famous figures that changed and affected the world of Zootopia. At that point, Patch and her parents thought that their daughter would become a writer or possibly a journalist.
As such, when Patch entered highschool she immediately signed up to work for the school newspaper. She started out at the bottom, printing and editing the articles of the more senior members and providing them with research and background knowledge for their articles. In time, she worked her way up the ranks and was soon writing her own stories and doing reporting for various school events. In Grade 10, Patch’s highschool formed a debate team as well as added some new courses in Law, Social Order and Psychology. Curious and always interested in advancing her scholarly studies, Patch enrolled in all three. She excelled in all but Law and Social Order ended up being her favorites. When her Law teacher suggested that Patch join the debate team and be an on-site reporter for the team’s debate competitions, she agreed. She ended up becoming one of her school’s top debaters and helped her team win many local and national championships. Patch found that she truly enjoyed formulating arguments, researching various issues and topics and then discussing them with others. At that point, Patch knew she wanted to become a lawyer.
When she graduated from highschool, Patch moved to Zootopia and enrolled Pyschology and Journalism programs at Zootopia University. After four years, she completed her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Pyschology and Journalism. At 21, she then went onto complete three years at the Zootopia School of Law and went on to article with a local law firm in the private sector. Patch has recently finished a year of articling and completed her State Bar examinations. She is currently working for the Zootopia Court of Justice.
