Name: Sunny Wilson
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student at Savanah School/Musician/DJ
Class: High
Species: Shifter: Yellow Canary
Personality: Sunny is just like his name; sunny and full of life. He is a very creative, artistic and imaginative young man who’s music has an energetic spontaneity that speaks to the fullness of life. He loves to have fun, explore/learn new things and meet new people. He likes to engage in friendly banter and teasing with those he calls friends and there is nothing Sunny likes better than a well-executed prank or a good joke.
On the flipside, Sunny is a very hard-working, dedicated and independent young man who lives for his work; music. As he comes from a very successful family of business moguls and lawyers, it is not surprising that Sunny has such a strong work ethic. However, his family does not consider music to be important or a very lucrative method of living. This causes Sunny and his family a great deal of friction. All Sunny wants is the freedom and independence to do what he wants and to be happy making music.
History: Sunny’s life did not start out happily. His mother had him when she was just a teenager. Because she felt that she could not care for him properly, she put up him for adoption and hoped that he would find a good home with a family who would love him. When Sunny was just 9 months old, he was adopted by a young eagle couple. His mother was a lawyer just starting in her career and his father work in PR for the City of Zootopia. Although Sunny lived pretty much in the lap of luxury, it never meant to his head. He always remained a happy and energetic little boy with a wildly active imagination and a love for sounds.
When Sunny was 5 years old, he met a mischief-making red-head who would become his best friend for life. Their meeting was somewhat unconventional and a bit odd. Sunny was playing alone in his backyard when suddenly a young fox leaped over the fence and immediately transformed into a young boy with shocking red hair and sneaky grin. The other boy told Sunny that he was hiding from monsters and that they had to be very quiet. Unsure of what was going on, Sunny did as he was told. Within minutes, the two of them heard irritated voices calling for someone named ‘Puck’ before moving on. The red-head then introduced himself as Puck and thanked Sunny for playing along. Sunny grinned, introduced himself and invited the other boy inside to play RockBand. It was the start of a lasting friendship.
When Sunny was 14, he realized that he wanted to be a musician more than anything else in this world. When he told his parents about this, they were less than pleased and not very supportive. They did not consider music to be a very lucrative job and wanted him to go into business or law like they had. For the next three years, this disagreement on Sunny’s future would cause a great deal of strife and general disagreement over Sunny’s choices. During this time, Sunny relied on Puck and his music to keep him from going insane.
When Sunny was in grade 11, his highschool hosted a Arts and Culture Exhibition. As a part of this exhibition, they were holding a contest where young artists in the school could showcase their work for a chance to win one of three scholarships. Puck suggested that this could be Sunny’s chance to show his parents just how important music was to him. Although Sunny was unsure if his parents would bother to come, he entered the contest. As a part of the exhibition, Sunny did a presentation on the history of electronic music and did a live performance as well for which he won a scholarship. Although his parents did not come, they ended up seeing the performance. Puck had secretly taped the entire thing and sent it to Sunny’s parents. When they saw the video and actually heard their son’s music, they were impressed. Perhaps music as a profession was possible.
Later, when Sunny returned from the exhibtion, his parents surprised him. They told him about what Puck had done and that they were willing to offer Sunny a compromise. He could pursue music and do the scholarship but they would like him to do a minor in Business as it could be useful to his career later on. Happy that his parents were finally beginning to understand, Sunny agreed.
When Sunny graduated highschool, he immediately enrolled in the Savana School’s Arts and Performance Program and the Business program as he promised. When his first semester was finished, Puck asked Sunny if he would like to come work as his Radio station/Recording studio; Trickster Beats and if he would be interested in becoming roommates as the two of them were still living at home. Sunny agreed to both offers and soon the two of them were living life on their own! Mostly anyways, their moms still take grocery shopping every two weeks.
Other: Sunny loves to create electronic music and is very skilled at it. He has even written his own computer programs in order to create the exact sounds that he wants. He also plays the drums, tambourine and bass guitar.
