It was Thursday afternoon had Puck was heading back to the radio station after a nice and relaxing lunch break. Now it was back to work and he had a full day of meeting with artists, recording, hosting and other general administration to get through. Although, 'getting through it' was not the right expression. He loved working at the recording studio and radio station. Not only was it his, it also gave him and his friends to take their love of music and make it into a viable career. That was what made Puck happy, it gave him freedom to do what he wished and create a space for other people to build their careers in music.
Puck grinned to himself and looked down at his watch. Speaking of careers in music, he had to hurry or else he would be late for a meeting with a new artist. "Shit!" Puck quietly swore under his breath and double his pace. Five minutes later, he was walking in the front doors of the building. Puck walked up to Lisa, the receptionist and gave her a dazzling smile. "Hello my lovely Lisa, has a talented artist come in asking for me?"

Inside said building, there was someone waiting for him. DaruDayu, an up and coming pop singer who has an oriental theme. She had a fan covering her mouth. She looked mysterious in a way but, if anyone knew this cat, they would know nothing was mysterious about her. She was in her human form, as that is the one she feels the most comfortable in, as she tapped her foot. She was waiting for the owner of the station to arrive, and she was slowly becoming impatient.

Lisa giggled and nodded, "Yes, Puck. The young lady is right over there." She said pointing in DaruDayu's direction.
Puck nodded and winked at the receptionist. "Thanks Lisa." He then turned and walked over to the young musician. "Hello, so sorry to be late. My name is Puck. I'm the owner of Trickster Beats and one of the main radio hosts. What is your name Miss?" Puck asked as he extend his hand and gave the young woman a dazzling smile.
While he waited for the young woman to introduce herself, Puck took the chance to examine the young artist in front of him in closer detail. The oriental theme was an interesting choice and he couldn't wait to find out how that influenced her sound and music style. While she looked like she had a mysterious aura about her, something in the way she carried herself hinted that it was partly an act, taken on to enhance her music and to belie first impressions.

She looked behind her, seeing Puck walk up to her. She smiled softly, and take a hold of his hand, shaking it. "Pleasure to meet you." She said, her voice was soft and mature, despite her appearance and height. "My name is DaruDayu." She answered, slowly letting go of his hand. "I do hope I wasn't interrupting anything, considering the fact it took you some time to get here." She added, giving a him a friendly smile. She didn't really mind that much but, she simply wanted to tease him a little.

Puck nodded when DaruDayu introduced herself. "The pleasure is mine." He said with a charming grin. He took note of the sound and softness of DaruDayu's voice, already trying to decipher the style of music that the young singer preferred to create with her voice. 'Ballad? Folk? Indie? Possibly violins?' All these thoughts and more were running through the mind of the cunning red-head. Whatever it was, his curiosity was peaked. Then again, he was always curious about music artists and their styles.
The mischievous red-head chuckled at the young singer's comment on his tardiness. "Hey now, a guy's got to eat! After all, it isn't easy catering to the whims and wishes of temperamental artists." He said with a good-natured grin. "Now, if you like to follow me, we will head to my office where we can talk business. I assume you have a CD or some kind of sample of your music with you?" Puck asked before heading down a hallway to the right of the reception area.

She giggled softly at the male's response. "I just didn't know it would take someone quite some time to eat, that's all." She said, in a teasing tone. The cat could tell he was trying to place what kind of music she made. The way she described her genre was 'something you have to listen to understand', as egotistical as that may sound.
She nodded at his request, following him close behind. "But, of course. I came prepared." She answered. She had a CD protected by a case in her hand, as a matter of fact.

Puck grinned back at DaruDayu's response. "When something is of fine or exceptional quality, it is important to take all the time that it requires in order to fully appreciate it." He said. Even though the tone was playful and joking, Puck truly meant what he said. He felt that way about everything he did. It was important to him that he invested the time and energy that was required to make something great, whether it was a friendship, the radio station, or a potential client.
"Perfect!" He exclaimed excitedly as he pushed open the door to his office. Inside, the walls were painted with a light green colour with a few posters of prominent musicians and a couple of photos of people who were either musicians that Puck worked with or friends. It was hard to tell with some because of the casual and friendly feeling that came from the photos. On one side of the room was a dark brown coffee table with a brown leather couch and two comfortable, bright green armchairs surrounding the coffee table. On the other side of the room, a dark brown leather swivel chair sat behind a dark brown wood. desk with a laptop computer sitting on top as well as a couple folders and notebooks. Against the wall, on a dark brown wood cabinet stood a music player. Puck gestured for the young musician to take a seat on the couch or on armchairs. "Come on in and take a seat." He siaid.

"That is a very nice way of looking at it." She said, still following close behind. She made sure to take a look at her surroundings. It wasn't a bad looking place, not at all. Once they entered his office, she was immediately intrigued by the posters on the wall. Were they animals he had worked with before, or something along those lines. Anyhow, she could definitely tell that he put a lot of time and heart into making this office. It seemed like a spitting image of his personality.
After that quick bit of looking, she decided to sit on the couch once he offered her the seat. She sat down with her legs together and one of her arms laid on the cushions.

Once DaruDayu was seated, Puck sat down on the couch as well but maintaining a respectful distance. It was close enough so that he could easily hear an talk to her but not so close that it would seem like he was imposing on her space. While he did have a tendency to 'overly-friendly', as Sunny had termed it, he tried to hold off until for the first few meetings. There was no sense in scaring people way, after all.
"So before we get down to the real business, would you mind telling me a bit about yourself and your music? I realize it can be hard to explain or describe one;s art but it's worth a shot. I like to know how the artists who create their music describe it before I start putting my own assumptions on the work. That way I can start at least two pages behind you on understanding your work rather than the usual 5 pages." He said with a good-natured grin.

She gently placed a finger on her chin and hummed softly. "Very well..." She said, thinking about how exactly to describe her music and herself. "Well, I haven't been in this industry for that long but, I didn't want to become a regular house cat so, I thought I would make a name for myself." She explained. "The best way to describe my music is... oriental." She answered, twirling a strand of her hair with her finger. She held up the CD case between her fingers. "You can listen to it yourself...~" She said.

"Ok, fair enough." Puck said with a nod as he listened. "Well, I guess the oriental bit should have been obvious." The red-head said with a grin as he gestured to what was a rather beautiful oriental outfit. "That will definitely give you an edge over your competition as it should help you stand out."
"Thank you. Let's see what we have on here." Puck said as he took the CD case and walked over to the CD player. Soon, Puck had popped the CD into the CD player and pressed play. As he walked back to his seat, he listened for what kind of music came out.
