It was a beautiful early afternoon on a Friday and Puck was spending it at the mall. It were still a few hours until Sunny was done his classes for the day so Puck was killing some time by walking around and looking at all the shops. He had briefly popped into some of the clothing outlets and stores but he hadn't found anything that caught his eye. He had heard that there was a new music store opening up in the west side of the mall but he was reluctant to go there on his own. To Puck, music and all things related to music were things that were meant to be shared. Spending time with other people and sharing one's tastes was half the fun when it came to music, at least in Puck's mind.
Sighing to himself, Puck plopped down on a bench that was from a gelato stand and ice cream parlour. Lazily, the red-headed shifter wondered out loud if it would be better to get gelato or ice cream and if taro and chocolate sprinkles was a weird combination.

Duchess was working as a waitress at a restaurant at the mall. she was just done with her shift as she got her purse and was about to go back home. she stopped seeing a gelato stand and ice cream parlour. Duchess smirked. She totally wanted to get some ice-cream. she deserved it. Being a waitress was not the most exciting job in the world. Hell no. she looked inside her purse to find her wallet. She frowned a little as she heard a voice from near by. "I wouldn't say weird. Unique is a better word maybe" she said with a small smile. She had no idea who she was talking to. she looked up as she got her wallet and saw the red head on the bench.

Puck glanced widely about him when he heard a voice answer his question. He hadn't even realized he had spoken out loud. As he looked about him, he saw a rather lovely-looking blond haired woman. When he noticed her, he realized she must have been the one who spok, there was no one else around after all.
Puck grinned. "I'm glad you think so. Anyone else probably would have shuddered at the thought, especially the owners of my favourite food truck." The red-head said with a laugh. "Are you thinking of getting gelatto or ice cream?" He asked, gesturing to the two different places.

Duchess smiled at the guy on the bench. "Ice-cream" she said with a small smile. "How about you? " she asked him. "Do you have any 'unique' ice-cream tips for me?" she asked with a smile. "Or are you waiting for someone?" she added. She didnt want him to get in trouble or anything.

Puck gave the two places one final look before looking back at the young woman. "I think I will do the same. It's rare that I get a chance to have marble slab style ice cream." The young red-head said as he stood up and stretched, causing his arms to flex slightly and showcase two nicely defined arms. He was wearing his usual sleeveless hoodie which showed off his arms slightly.
The charming red-head grinned at the woman's question. "Not anyone who would care." He said with a smirk. "How about you? Is some angry boyfriend going to come running after me, screaming for blood if I buy you an ice cream?" He asked with a mischevious grin.

Duchess smiled as he stood up. He was taller then she was and honestly not bad looking at all. She chuckled softly. "Ah i see" she said as she gently brushed her hair behind her ear. "Nah ill tell him to stay put" she said with a wink. She didnt have a boyfriend. "If i'll ever get one that is" She added with a chuckle. She smiled as the red head wanted to get her an ice-cream. " you do that often? Buying ice-cream for strangers?" she asked him as she offered a handshake. "Duchess" she said with a small smile. Her real name was Holli but who cared. Everyone called her duchess. The name holli brought back bad memories.

Puck laughed, this meeting was turning out to be the best part of his day. It wasn't everyday that you met fun and interesting people. "Well, in any case, I'm glad you'll be there to protect me." He said with a grin. The mischevious red-head smirked a little when he learned that Duchess was sinlge. If he wasn't intrigued already, he would have been at that point. Not that he was looking for something stable at the moment, it just meant that he could flirt without the guilt of possibly stealing someone else's partner.
Puck took Duchess's hand and returned the handshake. "Puck. It's nice to meet you Duchess." He let go of her hand and offered Duchess his arm. "And to answer your question, I only buy ice cream for persons I find interesting and have the open-mindedness to see chocolate sprinkles with taro ice cream as a unique choice." he said with a wink.

Duchess chuckled "I said I would tell him to stay put not protect you" she teased him with a small smirk. She smiked as he took her hand and introduced himself as puck, "Its nice to meet you too puck" she said. She looked up when he offered her his arm. she smiled a little. He had style she would give him that. she gently got his arm with a smile as she looked at him. "I see, wow must be my lucky day then" she said. She chuckled when he winked at her.

Puck laughed and shook his head at Duchess comment about 'protecting him'. "Alas! Betrayed in the first five minutes of our friendship! Oh what a cruel, cruel world!" He said with mock distress and dramatically placed his free hand over his heart. "However will I live?!" The dramatic red-head stayed in this classically melodramatic pose before dropping it and grinning at Duchess.
"Personally, I think it's my lucky day. I don't often meet interesting people." He said as he lead the way to the ice cream parlour and opened the door for Duchess. "So what's your favourite flavour?" He asked once they were inside and the giant menu of delicious choices loomed before them.

Duchess chuckled "oh please. Youre a big boy you will get over it" she said with a smile. She nodded at him as he opened the door for her. "Oh my such a gentlemen" she teased him as she stepped inside and waited for him to do so as well and join her. "Lemon" she said. She had good memories with that flavor. She had loved it since she was a child. "But if you have any spectaculair and unique suggestions then be my guest" she added as she was always ready to try new things.

Puck grinned at Duchess and mockingly shook his head but said nothing. It was nice to meet someone with whom he could exchange wits. As a rather mischievous fellow, Puck loved to tease and be teased. When he was younger, it had caused him some problems with other children and his older siblings. It still caused him problems now but it was nice to meet a similarly minded person. Puck couldn't help laughing though at Duchess 'gentleman' comment. He shrugged, "When it's called for." Then that tricky, devilish grin was back. "My mother would say I'm a devilish rascal and that you shouldn't trust me for one moment when i'm being a 'gentleman'." Puck said smirking.
The red-headed trickster cocked his head as he thought about Duchess' choice. "Nice. Well, as this is marble slab style ice cream, my favourite is red velvet ice cream with brownie bits, chocolate sprinkles and cherry sauce mixed in. But if you prefer lighter, tangier flavours like lemon, then that with coconut, pineapple bits and the tropic drink mix is a nice combination." Here Puck paused and took a quick look around the place before quietly saying, "If you order the special tropic drink mix, it has real tequila mixed into the pina colada sauce which I think would be right up your alley." He said with a grin.

Duchess chuckled. "Then maybe i should take your mothers advice and dont take that ice cream. Who knows what youre going to do with it " she said as she winked with a small grin. Duchess smiled a little at his words. Her family had never had much luxury. The rare moments she could buy an icecream she could only get the standard flavors knowing her parents needed the money and would be irritated if she made things too fancy. They would give her hell when she tried new flavors and end up disliking them. No she had not had an easy childhood, not that anyone knew. She would hide that fact behind a sugar sweet smile and charming words. "Oh well" she said "i kinda grew up with lemon. It has this.. Nostalgic feeling you know" she said with a small smile. "I never tried that before. Is it good?" she asked him as she looked at the redhead next to her. She smirked as he told her what he had in mind for her. "Oh my that does sound good" she said with a smirk

Puck looked at Duchess with mock horror. "I would never tamper with such a delicate thing as ice cream. To stoop so low would be the most heinous of crimes." He said, pulling out the fake drama once more, hoping it might make Duchess laugh again.
He cocked his head and stared at the young lady for a moment, as if he was analyzing her smile and her explanation for her ice cream choices. While nostalgia was a lovely thing, Puck couldn't help wondering if there was something else behind Duchess's words. However, he hadn't known her for very long so it was not his place to pry. Letting the feeling go, Puck gave Duchess a charming grin. "It's decadent as Hell but it's heaven in a mouthful." He said. The mischievous red-head gave a shrugged and an unapologetic grin. "It seemed like your kind of combination. Forgive me if I'm starting the party too early."

Pucks comment did indeed make duchess laugh. "Oh im glad. I do not want you to ruin something as precious as ice-cream for me" she said as she smiled at the redhead next to her.
She saw how he was studying her as she smiled and looked down. She hoped he would fall for her act. A small smirk formed around her lips. "Its never too early" she said as she looked at him. "I'll take that then" she said with a chuckle. "You seem to already figured me out" she said "i dont mind a drink" she admitted."am i scaring you off now?" she asked with a smile

Puck laughed when Duchess said it was never too early to party. So she was a wild one after all. "Glad to hear it. This city could use a few more fun loving people like you." He said with a charming smirk. "Oh I wouldn't go that far." He said, responding to Duchess's comment about having figured her out already. "I don't think it possible to figure out such an intriguing and beautiful person as yourself in the span of 15 minutes. That would far too limiting a view and a terrible slight against such a lovely individual." He said with a grin.
The mischevious red-head laughed once more and shook his head bemusedly. "My dear lady, It isn't possible to scare me off. My siblings have always said that I have an unhealthy amount of recklessness. Personally. I like to think of it as curiosity." Puck said with a slight smile. Once Duchess had decided what she wanted, Puck went up to the counter and placed their orders. Turning back towards Duchess he asked, "Are you a cone or bowl person?" As he placed the question, he realized that Duchess might not like him ordering for her. If so, he hoped she realized that it wasn't because he thought she was incapable or anything like that, he was just trying to be polite and continue the gentlemanly streak.
