"What the...?" Gowther dropped the book he was carrying when he saw what was laying on the ground outside his library. It looked to be a young woman, wearing white, with blonde hair. Stooping down, he checked to make sure she was breathing, and when he found that she was, he sighed in relief. He looked around, trying to see if she was with anyone. Not finding anyone, he sighed "I really don't have a choice, do I?" He picked her up bridal style and carried her inside. He laid her down on his sofa and covered her with a blanket. It wasn't much, but surely better than being passed out on the street. He'd ask her who she was when she woke up.

Duchess had been out all night. She didnt have to go to work tomorrow so she didnt have to go home early. What was better then going through some bars and have a drink if you could sleep away your hangover the morning after. She didnt even have to pay for most of the drinks. Her flirty personality helped a lot if she wanted to get others to buy drinks for her. Not that she was actually interested in any of them but free drinks were free drinks. She had drank a bit too much tonight. It wasnt unusual for her. She had lost her way home as she had stumbled and fallen on the ground. A bit later she woke up. "Hng.. What the hell..?" she looked around her. She was not at all familiar with this place

Gowther entered the living room with a glass of water and some asprin "So you finally woke up? That's a relief. I found you on the sidewalk outside." He put the glass of water and the asprin on the coffee table "If you have a headache, just take that." He sat down in a recliner nearby.

"You do that often? Taking unconsious girls inside? I could have been a thief and stole your" she looked around her some more "books..." she said. "Nevermind. Who would steal a book. That would be a shitty thief" she sat up and held her head. " uuugh.." she looked at the water and medicine. Maybe that would indeed help. "Nice.." she got the medicine and water as it was soon gone. She didnt have any trouble taking pills.

"Just for the record, if you had attempted to steal my books, or anyone else for that matter, the Zootopia PD would have to arrest me for assault." Gowther was known by the library's patrons for practically tackling anyone who tried to leave the library with a book without checking it out, and he had actually yelled at someone before after he found pages ripped out "And you'd be in worse trouble if someone else had decided to pick you up off the streets, it could have just as easily been a rapist or murderer who saw you there unconscious."

Duchess chuckled. "Ohoho.. Woww you're really charming huh?" she asked with a small smile. "I bet you could use a drink." she added. "Besides. Like the police department ever does something about it. They cant even see the difference between someone who drank too much and someone who has an agressive nature! Im NOT agressive!" she said as she had her experiences with the police. She looked at him. "Eh. Guess youre right about that."

"Sooo charming." He rolled his eyes and began to read "And I don't drink, never have, never will, the smell alone makes me feel sick." He continued to read while she talked about her encounters with the police "I still haven't gotten a thank you."

Duchess looked at him. "Why look at you!~ do i see little angel wings you goodie" she said with a chuckle. She raised her eyebrow. "Did i ask you to bring me here?" she asked as she looked at him. Duchess sighed and shrugged. "Fine. Thank you mister.. Ehm.. Whats your name darling?" she asked

Gowther rolled his eyes. This woman had an attitude, but still, anything could have happened to her if he hadn't picked her up "No, you didn't, but you have to admit, waking up on a sofa and not the concrete is nice." He closed his book, giving up on the reading for the moment "Gowther. And I don't believe I got your name either."

Duchess made a 'Hmpf' sound as she shrugged. waking up at the side of the road was nothing new to her. "I guess so. considering i could have been some kind of bad person with really bad manners and such" she said. " eh, fuck it maybe a thank you is indeed in order." she said as she sat up and looked at him. " duchess " she said. Almost nobody knew her real name. She didnt like it. 'Holli would' what a shitty name. besides it made her think about her parents. mostly bad thoughts. " Its nice to meet you i guess" she added to be polite. She was kind of charming most of the time. but she was having a hangover and honestly she didnt feel the need to hide it.

Duchess shrugged. "Sometimes. Most of the time i can walk home. " she said. "What are you doing here this late. Do you live here?" she asked. She honestly wouldnt be surprised if he said yes.

"I live in the apartment connected to this library." He began to pick up stacks of books that were around his chair, preparing to put them on a cart and wheel them to their proper shelves "I'm the librarian here." He put the books on a cart by the door "But I guess that's no surprise."

"Ah ofcourse" she said. "Nah not really" duchess admitted. The man looked like a bookworm allright. She wouldnt be surprised if that was his animal form. He was obviously a shifter like she was. "Well its good to live next to things you like. If that is in your case books then you must love your job and living so close to them" she said

"i used to get in trouble for it, I'd sneak out of my apartment and come in here to read." He took a stack of checked in book and began to look at them. On a certain book, he spotted a small rip, but wanted to look closer at it "Forgive me for a moment, I need to check something." He shifted into his mouse form and got a closer look at it.
